PIDA looks like a real cool project, but I dont have the time to write a ebuild right now. Maybe a dev is interested? --- PIDA is the Python Integrated Development Application. It is an IDE written in Python and the GTK graphical toolkit. Pida is an IDE, but one that is slightly different from other IDEs. Rather than attempting to write a set of development tools of its own, Pida uses tools that the developer has available. In this regards Pida can be used as a framework for putting together your own bespoke IDE. Screenshot: http://pida.berlios.de/images/5/5c/Pida_embed.png Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Created attachment 63926 [details] pida-0.2.1.ebuild NEW EBUILD INSIDE! Ok, I wrote a ebuild for pida. I suggest dev-python/pida as package name.
Created attachment 63932 [details] pida-0.2.1.ebuild fixed typo
Merges and runs cleanly on AMD64. (BTW, the ~amd64 keyword would be appreciated :-) )
Thanks for the ebuild, Bj
Thanks for the ebuild, Björn. This looks seriously cool for gvim/python users. It gave quite a few warnings on startup, so looks like it could use some help with dependencies, such as mc (midnight commander), gazpacho, and 'see', but I'll check on those. Also launching firefox via the browser window failed with 'child exited'.
I added 0.2.2 to CVS with a few changes to your ebuild to meet dependencies if you don't use gvim as the embedded editor. I'm package.mask'ing it for now because I haven't fully tested svn, cvs and darcs control in pida. Thanks Bj
