kadu 0.6 is in -rc state yet. i'm not able to build most modules with that version, although according to kadu's site some of them should already work;/ i'd really like some polish dev to continue maintaining kadu. it's propably most used polish communicator for very popular in Poland (but only in Poland) im-network. IMO it should not be maintain by net-im herd, since propably noone from that herd use it. Additionaly it has many internal and external modules, which roles might be hard to understand for person, who never used it. I'm also not sure if kadu has english documentation (and i'm pretty sure, that most if not all additional modules havn't)
cla agreed to take care of kadu. i'll help him with initial ebuild (it really needs some clean-up work), but i do not need dev status for that. so i suppose we can continue retirement process
