Description Thomas Bettler 2005-07-19 08:03:05 UTC
Steps to reproduce:
 1. open konqueror
 2. open a stream i.e.
 http://real.xobix.ch/live/ssatpop.ram
 3. open a new tab or switch to another tab
 4. here you are - konqui crashed

That's all I get in my backtrace... * How may I enable
it, to work correctly?

This backtrace appears to be of no use.
This is probably because your packages are built in
a way which prevents creation of proper backtraces,
or the stack frame was seriously corrupted in the
crash.

I'd like to help and fix that nasty bug, just ask if you
need more info ... wanting to help you anyway and huge thanks a lot for having developed kaffeine!
Comment 1 Gregorio Guidi (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-07-20 02:20:19 UTC
Unfortunately this is a known issue in kaffeine, not Gentoo-specific.
Not using --with-xorg prevents the crash of kaffeine running standalone, but
it has no effects on kaffeine embedded in konqueror.

You may want to comment on one of the many related bugs already filed here
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?atid=581406&group_id=86937&func=browse

Btw, this report was a copy-paste from...?

Comment 2 Thomas Bettler 2005-07-20 03:46:52 UTC
Upstream comments look like these troubles are widely unkown. I already filed a bug,
but they couldn't help so far - so may be it's gentoo specific, but as you think neither,
so ... I just don't know.
Let drink some cups of tea and wait.... until .... maybe ....

I made a comment there, I hope that will help.
