Description Todd Nelson 2005-07-19 00:36:43 UTC
I burned the mini ppc install cd the same way i burn all of my cds for my imac
rev.A . I got the cd to boot to the blue screen with the boot menu and i thought
i was home free. When i enter "G3" to boot the G3 kernel, it says it cannot read
the cd. This is weird because the image passed the md5 test and the cd is
freshly burnt. I also know the cdrom drive works because i just installed macos9
from it.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.insert cd
2.reboot system holding "c" key at boot.
3.at boot menu, give it any command and it says "cannot read"

Actual Results:
same thing as listed in details.

Expected Results:
It should have booted the G3 kernel when i entered "G3"

this was burnt using nero burning rom in windows xp. The same way i have burnt
working mac os backups.

Also, I have browsed the cd in Mac OS 9. I opened a pdf and alot of html files.
The data seemed to be ok and readable. No problems in mac os.

Oh guys, so sorry. I suppose it was the way i was burning it. Strange. I burned
it again using "Transmac" application and now it can read. If anyone has a
problem like this, im pretty sure transmac has a trial edition of the software.
