The example APPEND settings for /etc/conf.d/gpm have "-A 60", however, the manpage explicitly states that there should not be a space (e.g. "-A60"). Users may not be getting the expected behavior if they blindly enable one of the example lines. it's possible the man page is out of date, but more likely the config file should be fixed.
