Hi! Please find attached gtkscintilla-0.8.2.ebuild. this is my first ebuild, please tell me if I missed something : extracted from the README : --- GtkScintilla - A wrapper for the Scintilla editing component --- This is GtkScintilla, a wrapper for the Scintilla (www.scintilla.org) source code editing component wich adds some facility to this powerful component written by Neil Hodgson (and may others). I suggest x11-lib/gtkscintilla as there is his little brother gtkscintilla2 there. Regards Mathieu ALORENT

OK, so now, would you clarify what those commented out DEPENDs/RPDENDs and thing in src_unpack() mean? Reopen then, please.
hi, I have done this ebuild quickly. I've taken another ebuild as example... on my machine no deps where required... I don't know exactly which they are ! So I commented it out.. src_unpack was in the original ebuild, and I leave it as is... What should I do ? Please help me to start... I'll read again on the link you gave me on comment #2 Regards
1/ If you don't know the dependencies, there are hints on how to find them, see the link I've already posted. 2/ If you don't know what those lines do and it works without them, then remove them and don't leave irrelevant comments from another ebuild in there. Please, don't reopen until you fix the ebuild. Thanks.
Created attachment 67039 [details] gtkscintilla-0.8.2.ebuild (New Package) - added RDEPENDS - removed unusefull comments
(In reply to comment #8) > - added RDEPENDS > RDEPEND=">=x11-libs/gtk+-1.2" Unless I missed something, this package only works w/ gtk-1, not gtk-2 (gtkscintilla2 is the one for gtk-2). The above dependency will however be fulfilled by gtk+-2 as well. Also, Makefile calls scigen.py, but I can't see python in DEPEND.
Created attachment 67062 [details] gtkscintilla-0.8.2.ebuild (New Package) I think you're right with gtk-1... indeed I have gtk-1 & gtk-2 installed on my machine - added DEPS for python PS : I hope that there will be no more traps ;)
