Greetings, I run a hosting company that offers Dedicated Servers with Gentoo pre-installed and would like to find out about being listed on your vendors page and/or advertising along with the other hosting companies I see listed on the right side of much of the gentoo.org site. What is required to do either of these? I've previously seen mention of a couple of these companies giving $50 to the Gentoo Foundation for each Dedicated Server they sell, and would be more than happy to do the same. You can review our offerings here: http://www.lamphost.net/Dedicated_Servers/ We use Gentoo for all of our servers, and specifly mention Gentoo on these pages: http://www.lamphost.net/About_Us/Technology.php All Dedicated Server pages. e.g.: http://www.lamphost.net/Dedicated_Servers/DS200.php
This is a mail by Matt Brown <matt.brown@lamphost.net>, btw.
I've been talking to Matt via email. working on this issue.
Any update on this?
Who should decide something like that now? The Council or the Trustees? I even doubt that the offer is still valid…
Nicely mishandled bug (not the first of similar kind and not the last one either, for sure). :/ CCing trustees and council wrt comment #4; this offer is certainly long lost.

(In reply to comment #6) > Jakub: You know the council has nothing to do with this. Your attitude sucks > too. Apparently noone knows who has something to do with this or who doesn't; that's the whole point of comment #4. Maybe you could answer the question instead of irrelevant remarks on my attitude? On that note, maybe council could comment on Bug 141785 or Bug 108379 as well and develop some policy how these things are to be handled and who's responsible for screw-ups like the three listed above? Apparently, assigning bugs to infra/infra members is definitely not the way to go here.
kingtaco's point is all you manage to do is piss people off with your snarky comments which add nothing to the issue also as he said, the Council does not deal in sponsorship and such, that is the realm of the Trustees for making decisions and infra for implementing
(In reply to comment #8) > also as he said, the Council does not deal in sponsorship and such, that is the > realm of the Trustees for making decisions and infra for implementing Cool; lets hope trustees will comment on the attitude of our infra towards sponsors.
If this particular offer is still on the table please re-open bug. Otherwise we are closing this for now. We will be coming up with a standard donor/operating procedure policy. In the upcoming months.
