Here is the first draft of the changes I'd like to make to our documentation for this release. I'm currently missing a partitioning section for IBM machines, but I'll adapt the section from the ppc64 documentation.

Joe, you should fix [gentoo]/xml/htdocs/doc/en/handbook/draft/2005.1 since those files will be used as the official 2005.1 documentation (unless one of the patches is for the "current" Gentoo Handbook in which case I'd like you to identify those to me so I can prepare them).
Besides the 2005.1 profiles and kernel version changes, these should apply to the current handbook as well. I'll redo the patches tonight, I wasn't aware that there was a draft version. :p

The profiles patch applies without change to the 2005.1 Draft. Are the proposed changes for the 2005.1 draft okay as is? I'm not as worried about the grammar fixes (they're mostly trivial).
Just a few minor corrections: The -disk patch shouldn't use <path> for anything not path-related. The -medium patch has some coding style issues (newlines in between p and pre's that seem to be forgotten). The profile patch doesn't need to still copy over the System.map since that is obsoleted now (kernel does name resolution internally).
A small update from ppc64....I will be adding patches for our files to this bug tonight...sorry I can;t get to it sooner, work has been extremely busy of late.
All of the patches are in CVS, reopen if there are any problems.
