SableVM 1.12 have been released, simply copying the 1.11.3 ebuild works (tested on ppc): cp sablevm-{1.11.3,1.12}.ebuild Note: From 1.12, upstream provides both a "SableVM SDK" package and the normal SableVM packages. This ebuild will use the normal SableVM, that is, a SableVM similar to the ones before. I am currently working on a sablevm-sdk ebuild. SableVM SDK integrates with SableVM 3rd party tools to provide a more or less complete SDK environment. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Simply copying the 1.11.3 ebuild does _not_ work. gtk28.patch fails. I'll work on a new patch and post it here when it is done. sablevm-sdk ebuild: http://gentooexperimental.org/svn/java/gentoo-java-experimental/dev-java/sablevm-sdk/
Created attachment 73387 [details] gtk28.patch fixed for sablevm-1.12 Put this file in dev-java/sablevm/files
Created attachment 73389 [details] ebuild for sablevm-1.12 I just copied sablevm-1.11.3.ebuild and modified it to apply Attachment #73387 [details]. Tested on alpha.
1.13 is out. I would like to see sablevm use the system installed gnu-classpath if possible.
(In reply to comment #4) > 1.13 is out. I would like to see sablevm use the system installed > gnu-classpath if possible. From the sablvm FAQ[1]: "Note that at this moment you can not yet use the original, upstream version of GNU Classpath. We're working on making it possible." [1] http://sablevm.org/wiki/FAQ
# William L Thomson Jr <wltjr@gentoo.org> (13 June 2007) # Stale upstream older versions than last release in tree. # Package will be moved to junkyard overlay after 30 days # unless users express interest in this package.
