vapier: the problem is that the SRC_URI is wrong I don't know if it's because the kernel-mirrors have changed something or what. The file is not at http://www.kernel.org/pub/utils/raid/mdadm/mdadm-1.12.0.tar.bz2 mirror://kernel/utils/raid/mdadm/${P}.tar.bz2 But instead it is at: http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/raid/mdadm/mdadm-1.12.0.tar.bz2 mirror://kernel/linux/utils/raid/mdadm/${P}.tar.bz2 note the extra 'linux' at the start.
