Cowbell is a nice mp3/flac/ogg tagging and renaming application written in mono. It looks similiar to Muine.

The ebuild is missing a header. See

Please fix the following and reopen:

* >=foo-version* doesn't make sense.
* ${D} should be quoted.
* We don't use emake for install targets.

Do you mean =foo-1.23*? Or do you mean >=foo-1.23?

I meant =foo-1.23* (that's why I wrote it). But I see muine does >=foo-1.23 for
the *-sharp stuff now, so I've changed that accordingly. Now there's only
taglib left with the =foo-1.23* syntax, since the cowbell docs say nothing
about if taglib-1.4 works for it. So I limited it to 1.3.

Added 'inherit mono', because the ebuild will otherwise explode with a sandbox
violation (unless you have FEATURES="userpriv"). I am an amd64 dev, so the
initial keyword will be ~amd64.

the .desktop file isn't needed. all versions after 0.1 came with that file in
the tarball.

I do apologize, but I can't get this software to do what I need it to do. I'm
hoping somebody else will step up to maintain it.

ok this last ebuild needed a correct header and eautoreconf because the makefile is broken.
I commited in cvs.
