Comment 1 foser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-07-14 05:12:38 UTC
the file doesn't exist in CVS anymore. The manifest is right,.
Comment 2 Alexander Skwar 2005-07-14 05:51:03 UTC
Hm. Okay.

In this case, it is the portage-snapshot that I've got to use, because I need to
use emerge-webrsync.

Whose responsible for those? dev-portage@gentoo.org ?

The problem with the snapshot (latest as of this writing: 20050713 ->
http://ftp-stud.fht-esslingen.de/pub/Mirrors/gentoo/snapshots/portage-20050713.tar.bz2)
is, that it contains files that are not in CVS, as foser says.

This was not always the case. And right now, there are other "illegal" files
besides just the one mentioned in this bug.
Comment 3 Jason Stubbs (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-07-14 07:12:35 UTC
The files are gone from the master rsync server. I'll look into it more
closely when I get faster internet access in a couple of weeks unless Brian
can do to it? Perhaps a race between syncing and creating of the snapshot
where --delete-after in combination with manifests augments the issue?
Comment 4 Lance Albertson (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-08-15 19:04:56 UTC
This still an infra bug or did it get resolved?
Comment 5 Lance Albertson (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-09-15 20:16:10 UTC
Closing because of inactivity. Please reopen if its still an issue.
