Description gentoo 2005-07-13 10:07:29 UTC
After updating to tikiwiki-1.9.0 and setting a different password for the
tikiuser in mysql (lost the old one) I had to redo the tiki-install step.

http://localhost/tikiwiki/tiki-install.php gives a:
"Fatal error: Only variables can be passed by reference in
/home/httpd/htdocs/tikiwiki/tiki-install.php on line 517"

editing tikiwiki/db/local.php (from previous setup) manually returns a blank
page after requesting http://localhost/tikiwiki/tiki-index.php

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

What is your DocumentRoot? /home/httpd?
Comment 2 gentoo 2005-07-13 15:02:46 UTC
yes, DocumentRoot is /home/httpd
Comment 3 Renat Lumpau (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-08-02 12:20:22 UTC
This could be a problem with upgrading the config file. Could you try doing a
clean install?

Please reopen if the problem persists.
Comment 5 gentoo 2005-08-09 04:53:17 UTC

Hi,

Not quite sure why this has been assigned to the PHP herd. Re-assigning to
the tikiwiki package maintainers.

Best regards,
Stu

The Tiki community does not consider this to be a bug.
TikiWiki 1.9.2 (hopefully to be released in a few weeks) will be the first
version that is intended to be PHP5 compatible.

Please join us on IRC #tikiwiki <irc:/irc.freenode.net/#tikiwiki> to discuss in
more detail.

Best regards,

tikiwiki-1.9.2 is in the tree and claims to be PHP5-compatible. Please test and
reopen if necessary.
