The current stable Maven ebuild is at 1.0-rc3 whereas the latest stable Maven version is 1.0.2. I have been using the masked Maven 1.0 ebuild on x86 and amd64 for several months now. Please consider unmasking it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Would someone kindly unmask Maven 1.0? Pretty, please? Or at least have some rationale why you want to keep the obsolete version.
Personally, I dont think that it should be unmasked, it is a binary package, which means it is automatically deprecated due to the "new" Gentoo Java Policy. However, there are other dependencies holding up maven (not to mention the utter lack of ability to properly build it without modifying the entire build system it uses. However, if you like, feel free to help get Maven (from source) into portage (till then we can leave the binary version as is).
