This guide describes working with a PocketPC using libsynCE. Attaching now.
Created attachment 63292 [details] pocketpc.xml Original submission, more work will be done after I work on the bugzie split doc.
Created attachment 66717 [details] pocketpc.xml Quick cosmetic changes.
BTW, current draft available at http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/pda-guide.xml, but far from finished yet.
I didn't find anything useful at this moment (synce seems to be the only thing that kind-of works); I'll keep the document in draft until synce is stabilized. I'll keep this bug open as well - if a synce stabilisation bug exists or is made, be sure to have this bug depend on it.
Aha, found a bug that might help me focus on when synce becomes stable. But, it might also require some documentation updates as the new version has quite some changes. See bug #178807
Hi swift, 0.12 is as stable as it's been! You should be able to rip this guide from the SynCE wiki at http://www.synce.org/moin/SynceInstallation/Gentoo http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/pda-guide.xml is pretty outdated!
Damn, must have missed this bugzilla e-mail. Will look at it asap!
Nothing we can really do here. The drafts are too old and have no maintainers. Also, the doc linked in this bug's comments requires using overlays, which is not acceptable for our official documentation. Closing as CANTFIX, I guess. I may pull the pda-guide.xml draft too, since it relies on ~arch packages. And it's still incomplete 5 years later.
