A patch has been released that includes all bugfixes for KOffice 1.4 up to 
10th July 2005. It also fixes a crash in KWord and KSpread among other 
improvements. The patch can only be used with the sourcecode release.

I added the patchset to app-office/koffice-1.4.0-r2. 
It is a bit painful to make the patch apply to the split koffice ebuilds, it 
needs someone that can spend some time on it... but there's also a 
koffice-1.4.1 coming in less than two weeks, so probably this is not vital.

koffice 1.4.1 is in portage.
