When I do an emerge --pretend update --world it wants to install net-mail/ssmtp 
and net-mail/mailbase.  I think ssmtp would conflict with my qmail server, and 
I'm not sure what mailbase is.  bs_argh from #gentoo brought this to my 
attention.

I have the same problem:After merging postfixemerge --world --updateshows me ssmtp an NEW. If i unmerge postfix, ssmtp is't listed anymore.Could this come from the line RDEPEND=!virtual/mta ?

known bug, --world removed from gentoo-src cvs and pending rewrite...
