There appears to have been some changes to the eclass system recently as I've
been seeing an increased number of warnings of this sort:

QA Notice: ECLASS 'eutils' inherited illegally in app-arch/rpm2targz-9.0-r2

QA Notice: ECLASS 'multilib' inherited illegally in app-arch/rpm2targz-9.0-r2

hrmm .. what version of portage are you using? can you attach the output of emerge info as well?

This bug appears to have go away with more recent versions of portage and rpm2targz.
