Needs ebuild 2.compile of python-lzo is know to work adds niceity of lzo to X11 progs using python. 3.Perl lzo adds support to perl routines some console based gui archives perhaps adding to Midnight commander. Actual Results: no ebuild for Lzo optional libs CVS stable ebuild reqested Expected Results: RFC ;; requesting ebuilds made LZO addital libs can build direct from src but ebuilds for ease of updates reqeusted. Also since Python-lzo adds support to most Xprogs python based wich do compresion or filebrowsing I/E Konqueror via kde-python bindings or Fileroller
Python-LZO Perl-LZO Java-LZO depends on UCL LZO LZOP miniLZO (UCL LZO libs and or minilzo) java python perl respectivly UCL LZO the above will compile against them in addtion to or not mini-lzo etc. just adds bibings to the lzo copresion progs/libs basicly perl-lzo java-lzo Python-lzo depends on UCL and LZO; Lzop mini-lzo can build they will build with the least ; will build with the most. I recomond the full lzo set since the pain of recompiles is such a hassel and lzo and ucl compile times are relitivly low ; dosnt require all just mini-lzo lzop are recomended opts ; built againt base lzo-tool-sets and libs (ALL) give best results :-) just as long as lzo baase is installed they'll work ; just mini-lzo is fast and lite the optional libs tend to auto-chose wich to pipe it too. small files tend to get sent to mini-lzo if built and or the faster lib routines ; while large sets tend to use the lzo compressor apperently. users can kind of pick dep on system use lzo is manily used with STRONGSWAN/OPENSWAN (Fork)(since openswan is not being maintained much) but can be used as a file compessor it is fast and compresses well. just since the bindings are under dev to 2.0 and consistantly under devel but resonable stable cvs-ebuilds would be requested. since new too gentoo I dont have much in Portage skills plus ebuilds would ease the maintence of lzo tools esp these opt bindings libs for now ./confige and make dose fine ; just hoping to world em and let portage etc keep track of em in the future.
Please, could you *briefly* summarize what do you request?
