this bug occurs since licq-1.3.0-r3 when compiling licq without the gentoo-patches everything works ok Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. start licq 2. put your Partner on your visible list 3. log out 4. select to be (online) vivisible or any other invisible state 5. login again as invisible 6. ask your partner if you you are online Actual Results: your partner can't see you (you seem to be offline) Expected Results: you should be visible to your partner but he should also see that you are invisible (the eye or ghost symbol) Portage 2.0.51.19 (default-linux/x86/2005.0/2.4, gcc-3.3.5, glibc-2.3.4.20041102-r1, 2.4.31-linux-net-01 i686) ================================================================= System uname: 2.4.31-linux-net-01 i686 AMD Athlon(tm) Processor Gentoo Base System version 1.4.16 Python: dev-lang/python-2.3.5 [2.3.5 (#1, May 12 2005, 04:31:37)] distcc 2.16 i686-pc-linux-gnu (protocols 1 and 2) (default port 3632) [disabled] dev-lang/python: 2.3.5 sys-apps/sandbox: [Not Present] sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.59-r6 sys-devel/automake: 1.5, 1.8.5-r3, 1.6.3, 1.7.9-r1, 1.4_p6, 1.9.5 sys-devel/binutils: 2.15.92.0.2-r7 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.16 virtual/os-headers: 2.4.22-r1 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-O3 -mcpu=athlon-tbird -march=athlon -fomit-frame-pointer -ffast-math -pipe " CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/env /usr/kde/3.3/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/shutdown /u sr/kde/3/share/config /usr/lib/X11/xkb /usr/lib/fax /usr/lib/mozilla/defaults/pref /usr/share/config /usr/share/ texmf/dvipdfm/config/ /usr/share/texmf/dvips/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/generic/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/p latex/config/ /usr/share/texmf/xdvi/ /var/bind /var/qmail/control /var/spool/fax/etc" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-O3 -mcpu=athlon-tbird -march=athlon -fomit-frame-pointer -ffast-math -pipe " DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoaddcvs autoconfig ccache distlocks sandbox sfperms strict" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://funtaskic.informatik.uni-bremen.de/ftp/gentoo/" LANG="de_DE@euro" LC_ALL="de_DE@euro" MAKEOPTS="-j3" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/etc/portage/overlay" SYNC="rsync://rsync.linux-net.dnsalias.net/gentoo-portage/" USE="3dnow 3dnowex 3dnowext X acl acpi alsa apm arts avi berkdb bitmap-fonts bzlib cdr crypt curl dvd eds emboss encode esd fam flac foomaticdb fortran gd gdbm gif gnome gstreamer gtk gtk2 imagemagick imlib java jpeg kde lib g++ libwww mad mikmod mmx motif mozilla mp3 mpeg mysql ncurses nls ogg oggvorbis opengl oss pam pdflib perl png python qt quicktime readline samba scanner sdl slang spell ssl tcltk tcpd tetex tiff truetype truetype-fonts typ e1-fonts vorbis x86 xml2 xmms xv zlib userland_GNU kernel_linux elibc_glibc" Unset: ASFLAGS, CBUILD, CTARGET, LDFLAGS, LINGUAS
moreover even the other way round is broken ... beeing visible online and having somebody on the visible list results in beeing invisible to that person, hving that person on the invisible list seems to result in beeing visible (!) ...
is it reproducible with daily licq's snapshots?
Hi, I tried to compile snapshots from 12th July and today with no success. But I can confirm that with versions 1.3.0-r4 to -r6 I have the same problem. Poly
I succeded in compiling the 20050716 snapshot with the not msn-USE-Flag aware ebuild the other fails while doing automake The visible-list is still not correct - but it's now harder to reproduce it everything is ok when switching to online and having somebody on the visible list when switching from online to invisible(online) everybody see you as invisible, regardless of membership in visible-list when switching from offline to invisible(online) nobody see you, also regardless of membership in visible-list also the groups are not or only delayed updated when changing the group membership I've tested it with my notbook and my home licq-account (just a few minutes ago)
is it still reproducible with 1.3.0-r7?
(In reply to comment #5) > is it still reproducible with 1.3.0-r7? Yes. If I log on with my ICQ-Account, Buddies in the "visible list" still can't see me, but deleting and re-assigning them to the "visible list" seems to send an update, though. Tested it with an AOL-Account in GAIM logged in and restarting the licq app after emerge and logging in.
i believe this issue is fixed in 1.3.0-r8
should I reopen the Bug ? for me it is still broken... the fixes in licq-cvs from 2005-08-25 seem not to help the workaround with removing the user from visible list and adding him again doesn't anymore . futhermore the encrytion does not work, too licq throws now a "beeing spoofed" warning (yes, we both sit behind a linux based router ...) 23:10:24: [TCP] Sending request for secure channel to Kiesel (#4). 23:10:24: [TCP] Verbindungsaufbau zu Kiesel (11724xxxx) an 84.137.153.xx:14xx0. 23:10:24: [TCP] Protokollverhandlung mit Kiesel (11724xxxx) [v8]. 23:10:24: [WRN] Fehler bei Protokollverhandlung, die Gegenseite hat die Verbindung beendet. 23:10:24: [TCP] Requesting reverse connection from Kiesel. 23:10:25: [WRN] Spoofed connection from 84.137.153.xx as uin 11724xxxx. 23:10:25: [TCP] Verbindung mit 0 wird geschlossen. 23:10:25: [TCP] Cancelling secure channel request to Kiesel (#4).
