Description Andrei Ivanov 2005-07-10 04:15:09 UTC
I've just upgraded from qmail-1.03-r15 to qmail-1.03-r16 and now in the logs, when sending mail, I get:

@4000000042d100982b5f7654 delivery 5: success: User_and_password_not_set,_continuing_without_authentication./<andrei.ivanov@gmail.com>_64.233.185.27_accepted_message./Remote_host_said:_250_2.0.0_OK_1120993422_d6si4232809wra/

The only problem I see is that Mozilla Thunderbird has a 30 seconds delay (trying to authenticate?) when sending an email.
Outlook Express seems to be unaffected.
This is the smtp log produced by Outlook Express:

I don't understand why qmail thinks the user or password weren't sent.

Comment 2 Andrei Ivanov 2005-07-10 04:21:24 UTC
It seems that Thunderbird delays are gone now, I don't know why...
Comment 3 Michael Hanselmann (hansmi) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-08-06 14:43:28 UTC
That messages is from an updated patch. No reason to worry about it. And that
delay might have been because of the updated SSL patch, DH-parameters and the
cronjob for them. See bug 77380.
