the link shown on packages.g.o is the same link that is in the grun ebuild itself. reassigning to desktop-misc herd as this is not a packages.g.o problem.
The site doesn't seem to exist anymore - haven't found a (new) homepage using google. What about mailing the author - any replies? What about just removing that package if it's probably not maintained anymore.
dead upstream isn't necessarily a reason to kill a package. as long as it doesn't develop security problems, it might as well stay on the off chance that people use it http://packages.debian.org/unstable/x11/grun <--- debian can't find the page either, so i'm marking this CANTFIX
consented
The current ebuild refers to a gentoo mirror for the diff file, but that's a dead link. The file is available from debian mirrors. The ebuild needs the following changes: MY_P=${P/-/_} patchversion="14" SRC_URI="mirror://debian/pool/main/g/grun/${MY_P}.orig.tar.gz mirror://debian/pool/main/g/grun/${MY_P}-${patchversion}.diff.gz" src_unpack() { unpack ${A} epatch ${WORKDIR}/${MY_P}-${patchversion}.diff }
hence ^ reopening
Thanks, fixed.
So we should put this link on the packages.gentoo.org site too, right? http://packages.debian.org/unstable/x11/grun
packages.gentoo.org takes the information from ebuilds, so it will pick up the change soon.
