I recently changed from ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" to ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86". Therefore I had to downgrade a few packages including glibc. After finishing the merge, every other build fails (see attachment) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Created attachment 62939 [details] output of `emerge info`
Created attachment 62940 [details] output created by emerge -uD --newuse world which tried to emerge grep first
Created attachment 62942 [details] /var/tmp/portage/grep-2.5.1-r7/work/grep-2.5.1/config.log
Unfortunately not much we can do - you just cannot downgrade glibc if you already compiled some critical packages against it. You will need to get a .tbz2 of a 2.3.5 glibc for pentium3 from somebody, and install that.
i got a few hints ( http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?p=2565258 ) ... let's see if it works...
hey ho, it works!
