Balsa 2.3.4 installs the file /usr/share/icons/hicolor/icon-theme.cache This breaks the display of some icons in Balsa itself, and in other GTK+ apps. For example, the gnome-panel "Add to panel..." dialog will not display several icons, including the application launcher and mini-commander icons. Most of the toolbar icons in Balsa itself will not display, including the "Check mail" and "Compose message" icons. The problem can be resolved by deleting the file /usr/share/icons/hicolor/icon-theme.cache and restarting affected applications. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~amd64" emerge balsa Actual Results: Many icons disappeared from GTK+ apps as described Expected Results: The icons should have been displayed as normal. Thanks for catching this! Patched the Makefile.am in the images directory and stopped it from making this file. Please re-open if the issue is not resolved in 2.3.4-r1.
