If I try and send an email on a transport that has been configured to require SMTP auth, and cancel when it prompts me for the password, KMail segfaults. Don't know if this might be because the transport is set to port 2525, or that it's not the default transport and switched to it when composing the email. Also the email was originally sent on a different transport, and then I used "Send Again..." to send it again using the different transport. (I don't think that KDE is trying to contact the server either, as the crash happens pretty much immediately, but the server it's trying to reach is actually blocked at the firewall, so any connection would be dropped and have to time out) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Setup an SMTP transport using port 2525 2.Give the transport name the same value as the host field. 2.Set the transport to require authorisation, enter username, but not password 3.Choose an email from sent mail select "Send Again..." 4.Select "View->Mail Transport" in the composer 5.Type the name of the new mail transport 6.Sent the email 7.You should be prompted for your password 8.Press escape or cancel Actual Results: KMail crashes. The KDE Crash Handler appears, informing that it crashed due to signal 11 - SIGSEGV Expected Results: Sending is aborted cleanly. This definitely is NOT a bugzilla bug. Please read the descriptions the next time you file a bug as the correct place to put this bug is the "Gentoo Linux" product. I am reassigning this bug to the proper product so that it is handled properly.
It seems this is a known bug, you can follow it here: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101847
