Until this is added to xorg cvs, 'twould be cool to add this patch to the xorg and xfree ebuilds.  It should apply to all versions.

patch as submitted to xorg is attached.

Actually, how we work is that we'll commit the patch as soon as it hits upstream
CVS, so we can benefit from upstream review and support. Looks like it's a
release blocker, so someone will get to it soon.

Please reopen this bug once it's committed upstream.

This is fixed in 7.0 (modular). I may consider adding this to a 6.8.2 revision
if I do another one.

6.8.2 won't be receiving any more non-security changes, and this bug doesn't
apply to 7.0.
