Does this address any dependancies for either current or planned ebuilds outside
of dev-perl? As a rule, we do not add new perl modules unless they meet a
dependancy (there's far too many of them to keep them all in portage)

I didn't know about that perl module rule. It definitely makes sense. This 
module is in so many distros by default, I figured it _did_ satisfy a 
dependency, however, I can't find any. Let's leave it out for now.

Cory, will do. Just so you know, we're in the process of building a tool to
auto-install modules such as this without the need for an ebuild - but still
retaining a record in portage for future use should it come up as a dep. See bug
3450 if you are interested in more details (warning - it's a long thread). Thanks,
