Description sunmoon1997 2005-07-03 09:27:01 UTC
i copy the cjkunifonts' introduce as follows:
This project(CJKunifonts Project hosted at freedesktop.org) aims to provide full
sized CJK unicode truetype fontset, supporting all CJK characters in Unicode
plane 0 (BMP) and plane 2. These fonts are under heavy development, new releases
containing more glyphs every time are released on a flexible base, usually once
per month.

these fontset supply high quality fonts to CJK users, i think all of us'll fell
happy if these fonts go into portage tree and replace the current arphicfonts.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Yeah, currently fonts in portage do not contain 9pt bitmap fonts. If you can
post a screenshot that will be good.
Comment 3 AKar Chen 2005-07-11 06:44:39 UTC
Vote for this to enter the portage.

By the way, here is the CJK Unifonts project can be also found at
alioth.debian.org now:

You have my vote. I am still using hksc-ming, which is looks okay, but not too
great. It would be nice to have a full set of BIG5 charset instead of relying
on MingLiu >_<

Works for me. Thanks to sunmoon1997.
I'd like to take care of this bug, if possible.
Comment 6 Mamoru KOMACHI (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-07-31 01:10:10 UTC
ming: yeah, it'd be nice if you could check and add it to CVS.
Comment 7 Ming Zhao (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-07-31 23:51:05 UTC
In cvs now, thanks to all.
