Did you make sure, that /var/tmp/portage is clean? Or are you using unsermake?
I removed everything in /var/tmp/portage; I don't have unsermake installed. However, the first time I compiled this version of kdelibs, it worked fine, but it was on june 14th. Now, it does not work anymore, maybe an update of another package that breaks it. I'll post the (long) list of updated packages since june 14th, but I can see that autoconf-2.59-r7 has been merged.
Created attachment 62578 [details] Updates since june 14th ls -l in /var/log/portage snip before the last successful merge of kdelibs.
Hmm that's really strange, on another gentoo box it worked fine. I'll check the differences between the boxes.
After checking, the only difference I found was in locales, and it still failed after setting my locales to posix. Any idea of what to check ?
Same problem with -r2
you don't have anything in your overlay, like a kde.eclass or anything?
Nope, I don't have anything in my overlay :/ Since it says : cvs error, I tried to recompile cvs but this doesn't help.
The same problem with 3.4.2, it must be my fault, but I really don't know what may cause this.
I have the exact same problem - with da_DK.UTF8 locale. I also tried setting LANG=C (and env-update and source /etc/profile) but same problem My emerge --info: Portage 2.0.51.22-r2 (default-linux/x86/2005.0, gcc-4.0.1, glibc-2.3.5.20050421-r0, 2.6.12-gentoo-r5 i686) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.12-gentoo-r5 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 2.00GHz Gentoo Base System version 1.12.0_pre5 dev-lang/python: 2.3.5 sys-apps/sandbox: 1.2.12 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.59-r6 sys-devel/automake: 1.4_p6, 1.5, 1.6.3, 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.9.5 sys-devel/binutils: 2.16.91.0.2 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.18-r1 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.11-r2 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CBUILD="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-O2 -march=pentium-m -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/env /usr/kde/3.3/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/shutdown /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/lib/X11/xkb /usr/share/config /usr/share/texmf/dvipdfm/config/ /usr/share/texmf/dvips/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/generic/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/platex/config/ /usr/share/texmf/xdvi/ /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-O2 -march=pentium-m -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoconfig distlocks fixpackages sandbox sfperms strict" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://distfiles.gentoo.org http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/gentoo" LANG="da_DK.UTF-8" LINGUAS="da en" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.europe.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="x86 3dnow 3dnowext X X509 Xaw3d a52 aac aalib acl acpi ada alsa apm avi bash-completion berkdb bidi bitmap-fonts bluetooth bmp bonobo bzip2 bzlib calendar caps cdr chroot cre crypt cups curl dba dbus dio directfb dv dvb dvd dvdr dvdread eds emboss encode erandom esd ethereal evo evo2 fam festival ffmpeg flac foomaticdb fortran gd gdbm gif gnome gpm gstreamer gtk gtk2 gtkhtml guile hal icc imagemagick imap imlib ipv6 java jpeg junit kde ldap libg++ libwww mad mikmod mmx motif mp3 mpeg mysql ncurses nls nntp odbc ogg oggvorbis opengl oss pam pdflib perl pic png python qt quicktime readline samba sdl speex spell sse ssl svg svga tcltk tcpd tetex tiff truetype truetype-fonts type1-fonts unicode vorbis xine xinerama xml xml2 xmms xprint xv zlib video_cards_radeon linguas_da linguas_en userland_GNU kernel_linux elibc_glibc" Unset: ASFLAGS, CTARGET, LC_ALL, LDFLAGS, MAKEOPTS
