This verion of the driver doesn't work with vesafb and vesafb-tng. It probably breaks every other driver too. After turning on X, switching to another conlose gives me either a blank screen in correct resolution (vesafb) or screen in text resolution with junk on it (vesafb-tng). The kernel is 2.6.13-rc1 + latest git tree + reiser4, fuse, inotify and vesafb-tng. Vanilla 2.6.12 and 2.6.13-rc1 also break, 2.6.12-mm2 does so too. For reference, 1.0.7174 worked ideally. same problem: this might be a problem that results from the card because that is the only thing that I can see as being the same, as the person that created the bug report. I have resorted to not using a fb. I had thought that maybe it was a problem that was a result of using an amd64, with an nforce 3 mb, as most of my problems seem to stem from. No fb seems to work fine even if my charactors are a 1 cm tall, on a 21" monitor. The newer versions do not have the bug. Closing the old bug. UPSTREAM means that the problem has been resolved by upstream, doesn't it?
