Removed from .us rotation. Mirror is rsync8.us

Chris,

Any info?
Comment 2 Chris Mathis 2005-07-01 08:34:13 UTC
pip, as was stated in this email to gentoo-mirrors on this date Thu, 14 Apr 2005
09:17:43 -0700 (11:17 CDT):

" Mirror.tucdemonic.org has moved across campus is now
mirror.espri.arizona.edu (150.135.81.231). I've setup some forwarding
on the old firewall so that the old 128.196.95.10 IP will forward for
the time being. Once the Gentoo DNS and web pages have been updated and
I start hunting down and maiming anybody using the IP directly so that
by the time I lose that I space nobody will be still trying to use it."

as of the 30th of june this set of ip addresses is no longer in control by us.
the current maintainer of this mirror is nick lopez, nlopez@email.arizona.edu.

I am adding him as a CC to this bug though it is no longer exactly a bug.

Chris,

Thanks for the info. Looks like the e-mail was overlooked, or hadn't been
addressed yet, since DNS was still pointing to 128.196.95.10. I've changed
that, and will remove you from the bug.

Thanks again,
pjp

Nick,

Have you been in contact with anyone to get the mirror switched over on our end?
I don't see 150.135.81.231 in the access list for the master mirror.
Comment 5 Nick Lopez 2005-07-01 09:08:58 UTC
Yeah, uh, I forget who but I think I talked to someone on IRC and they did the
change. We've been syncing to SRC="gentoo@masterdistfiles.gentoo.org::gentoo"
and SRC="rsync://rsync.netoptex.com/gentoo-portage" for over a month now. The
mirrorstats page says we're up to date. I just tried syncing portage to rsync1
and it kicked me out.
Comment 6 Peter Penkala gentoo-dev 2005-07-01 09:57:09 UTC
OK, I've added 150.135.81.231 to the access list, so you should be able to sync
in a shortly.

Let me know if you have any issues syncing. I'll check later today (or
tomorrow) to make sure the mirror is syncing, then I'll add it to the .us
rotation (currently, its just available directly as rsync8.us).

Thanks, and sorry for the confusion.
