dosfstools should be a dependacy of kde. When emerging kde dosfstools is not installed. KFloppy is complaining about missing dosfs.
Hmm. OTOH you're right because it really is a runtime dependancy. OTOH, it's a small and rarely needed dep, and we currently have no extra deps at all in kdeutils... Ah, local use flags, where are you... I guess I'll add this, I want to think it over a little though.
Problem: dosfstools isn't cleared for Alpha, and kde is. I don't know what alpha floppies look like ;-) - asking the alpha guys to possibly add their keyword to dosfstools. Otherwise we'll add our dep on non-alpha platforms only.
Hello bjb, I was told on #gentoo-alpha you're the prime gentoo alpha dev, so I'm contacting you. (Is there an alpha@gentoo.org list?) I want to add app-admin/dosfstools as a dep to kde-base/kdeutils. Since kde has stable alpha keywords, dosfstools needs one too (it has everything except alpha already). Could you please look at it?
Hi Dan, I just tested dosfstools on alpha and it emerges and runs fine. (btw: there is no alpha@gentoo.org but I belive we should set one up asap :) )
OK, so can you please add an alpha keyword to the dosfstools ebuild? And then I can add the dep to kdeutils.
