Description Arun Thomas (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-10-26 19:57:06 UTC
There is a new 0.9.0_rc5 tarball on the alsa website. Apparently, it includes a
gcc 3.2 fix. This might explain why I got a mismatched digest when I tried to
merge rc5. I deleted the digest and it worked.

I forgot to add that I was having build problems with the original rc5 tarball.
The new one fixed the problem.

Arun:

This had been fixed a few days ago. However, initially gentoo's package cache
did contain a bad tarball. Could you please do the following:

1. rm /usr/portage/distfiles/alsa-driver-0.9.0rc5.tar.bz2
2. emerge rsync
3. emerge alsa-driver

If this doesn't work for you, please re-open this bug.
