Description Martin von Gagern 2005-06-27 06:57:16 UTC
I would like to have access to the kernel configuration on a cd without actually booting this kernel, preferably in /boot/config

I just want to compile a sk98lin (bug 93283) kernel module for a friend on my running gentoo system. For this I would use the kernel sources (bug 97197) as well as the config used for the livecd. It is annoying to reboot my system just to get this configuration, especially since the usual installkernel provides /boot/config and friends. I guess situations like bug 93785 could be solved by this as well.

This is already done by genkernel 3.2.0_preX and above, so I'm marking this one
as FIXED...
