This bug misses "streamtuner" in Summary. Is media-plugins/streamtuner-* still appropriate for streamtuner-0.99.99? That version of streamtuner contains all the plugins (I don't know what version though). And: any updates on the status of stabilisation of 0.99.99? It's release is almost a year old. See bug 110358 as well.

Created attachment 88047 [details] ebuild for streamtuner-0.99.99-r2 I just added the patch from the website in the ebuild and it worked just fine.
Created attachment 98012 [details] ebuild for streamtuner-0.99.99-r2 with corrected RDEPEND Same problem here. And it is more, a RDEPEND problem: The streamtuner's plugins are not needed anymore. In fact, their conflict with streamtuner. As exemple, with streamtuner local, I only get a message like what I must define my STREAMTUNER_LOCAL_ROOT variable. I done it both in .bashrc and .xsession. Streamtuner understand it when I run it from a terminal, but not when I run it from my fvwm menu. The raison is at it is a setting in the prefs now for that. Step to reproduce: 1) instal streamtuner and streamtuner-local 2) start streamtuner from the menu 3) go in the pref and select the local plugin 4) restart streamtuner. So I modified the RDEPEND in the ebuild in order at the streamtuner-* package block streamtuner. Same question again, when will this ebuild reach portage? It work just fine for me on a fresh 2006.1 install: # localhost dom # emerge --info Portage 2.1.1 (default-linux/x86/2006.1/desktop, gcc-4.1.1, glibc-2.4-r3, 2.6.16-rt29-3D-fb i686) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.16-rt29-3D-fb i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.40GHz Gentoo Base System version 1.12.5 Last Sync: Sun, 24 Sep 2006 16:00:08 +0000 app-admin/eselect-compiler: [Not Present] dev-java/java-config: 1.3.7, 2.0.30 dev-lang/python: 2.4.3-r2 dev-python/pycrypto: 2.0.1-r5 dev-util/ccache: [Not Present] dev-util/confcache: [Not Present] sys-apps/sandbox: 1.2.17 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.59-r7 sys-devel/automake: 1.4_p6, 1.5, 1.6.3, 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.9.6-r2 sys-devel/binutils: 2.16.1-r3 sys-devel/gcc-config: 1.3.13-r3 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.22 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.17-r1 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CBUILD="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-O2 -march=pentium4 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/3.5/env /usr/kde/3.5/share/config /usr/kde/3.5/shutdown /usr/share/X11/xkb /usr/share/config /usr/share/texmf/dvipdfm/config/ /usr/share/texmf/dvips/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/generic/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/platex/config/ /usr/share/texmf/xdvi/" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/env.d /etc/env.d/java/ /etc/gconf /etc/java-config/vms/ /etc/revdep-rebuild /etc/splash /etc/terminfo" CXXFLAGS="-O2 -march=pentium4 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" EMERGE_DEFAULT_OPTS="--alphabetical" FEATURES="autoconfig distlocks metadata-transfer sandbox sfperms strict userpriv usersandbox" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://mirror.switch.ch/ftp/mirror/gentoo http://gentoo.mirror.solnet.ch" LANG="en_GB" LC_ALL="en_GB" LDFLAGS="-Wl,-O1 -Wl,--sort-common" LINGUAS="fr en sv" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_RSYNC_OPTS="--recursive --links --safe-links --perms --times --compress --force --whole-file --delete --delete-after --stats --timeout=180 --exclude='/distfiles' --exclude='/local' --exclude='/packages'" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/portage/local/layman/test /usr/portage/local/layman/science /usr/portage/local/layman/kpex-media /usr/portage/local/layman/pro-audio /usr/portage/local/layman/WTK-Testing /usr/portage/local/layman/xfce4-svn" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="x86 X Xaw3d a52 aac acpi aim alsa arts audiofile avi berkdb bidi bindist bitmap-fonts bxip2 bzip2 cairo cdparanoia cdr cjk cli crypt cups dbus dga dio div4linux dlloader dri dssi dts dv dvb dvd dvdr dvdread eds elibc_glibc emacs emacs-w3 emboss encode esd exif expat fam ffmpeg fftw firefox flac flash fluidsynth foomaticdb fortran ftp gb gd gdbm gif gnome gphoto2 gpm graphviz gstreamer gtk gtk2 gtkhtml hal howl icq ieee1394 imagemagick imlib input_devices_keyboard input_devices_mouse ipv6 isdnlog jabber jack jack-tmpfs jackmidi java jbig jpeg jpeg2k kde kernel_linux ladspa lapack lash lcms ldap libedit libg++ libsamplerate linguas_en linguas_fr linguas_sv mad mikmod mime mmx mng motif mp3 mpeg mpi msn mule mysql nas ncurses nls nptl nptlonly nsplugin offensive ogg openal opengl oscar oss pam pcre pdflib perl pic plotutils png posix ppds pppd python qt3 qt4 quicktime readline recode reflection scanner sdl seamonkey session shorten slang slp sndfile sox speex spell spl sse sse2 ssl svg tcl tcltk tcpd tetex theora threads tiff tk truetype truetype-fonts type1-fonts udev unicode userland_GNU v4l vcd video_cards_nv video_cards_nvidia video_cards_v4l video_cards_vesa vorbis vst win32codecs wmf wxwindows xface xine xinerama xml xml2 xmms xorg xosd xpm xv xvid yahoo zlib" Unset: CTARGET, INSTALL_MASK, PORTAGE_RSYNC_EXTRA_OPTS Best Dominique
I can confirm that emerging streamtuner alone brings in the plugins. The patch also restores (more or less) the live365 listings (the genre column is still messed up, but it's much better than nothing). Please bump the ebuild in portage
Could you please make Streamtuner-0.99.99-r2 stable in portage? For me it works stable for quiet a long time now. Only problem r the shoutcast categorys .. but thats no problem.. anyway there are all streams available. Don't like to have so many unstable packages ;) greez björn
(In reply to comment #5) > The streamtuner's plugins are not needed anymore. In fact, their conflict with > streamtuner. Should be removed once Bug 184869 is fixed.
Blockers added to 0.99.99-r2.
