Description Daniel Seyffer 2002-10-26 09:48:24 UTC
Hello,

Maybe someone has a bit of free time to build a package for "Racer"
www.racer.nl. I have to admit that I haven't tried it for mysqelf so farm, but
have a lookt at the screenshots at the homepage - looks really, really
promising. ;-)

Quoted from the homepage:
"Racer is a free car simulation project, using real car physics to get a
realistic feeling. Cars. tracks, scenes and such can be created with relative
simplicity in mind (compared to other driving simulations). The 3D and other
file formats are, or should be, documented. Editors and support programs are
also available to get a very flexible and expanded simulator. It uses OpenGL for
rendering".

Thank you. Regards,
Daniel Seyffer.

PS: I Just set the Resolution Prio down to P3 to be nice and modest... ;-)

Ups. I just filled the URL field. The Homepage is www.racer.nl as stated in the description. Downloads (source and binaries) are available in the download section of the homepage. There is also a beta version but the link is "hidden" in the news entries...

FYI: The binary download for nvidia and manual installation of fmod-3.6.so (link
to version 3.4) works absolutely fine for me when calling the binary as
./bin/racer (not ./racer...)
