Description Pamela Fong 2005-06-26 00:05:34 UTC
During boot of the install-x86-universal-2005.0.iso CDROM, the console displays
message, "Scanning for sata_vitesse... module not found".

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot with install-x86-universal-2005.0.iso, and watch console
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Console shows message, "Scanning for sata_vitesse... module not found"

Expected Results:
I'm guessing the module on the CDR booted environment,
/lib/modules/2.6.11-gentoo-r3/kernel/drivers/scsi/sata/vsc.ko, would be the one
it is looking for. How come the poor little kernel cannot find the module? Not
that my system needs to load this module, but I wanted to do my part in trying
to report something that seems amiss.

This was actually a genkernel bug, but it has been fixed in CVS and will show up
in the next release... thanks for the bug report...
