Description Mickey 2005-06-24 10:38:08 UTC
Metadot program normally goes to: /home/metadot/metadot/ gentoo's method of
installing has changed paths. During the process something was forgotten to be
changed. As a result some images appear to be missing.

Wrong Path (for gentoo):
/home/metadot/metadot/sitedata/private/2153/topman2.gif

Correct Path (for gentoo):

/var/www/localhost/htdocs/metadot/sitedata/private/2153/topman2.gif

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install gentoo's version of metadot.
2. Go to the http://localhost/metadata/index.pl.

Actual Results:
Some images out of the box are missing with most skins for the portal.

Expected Results:
The images in all skins had to appear on loading portal (work around was
done more below).

I was able to workaround by creating a link:

ln -s /var/www/localhost/htdocs/metadot/ /home/metadot

The programs authors intended it to go to /home/metadot.

Version bumped. Note that you need to explicitly specify the location of your
sitedata/private directory under Manage/Config. Please consult the documentation
if you have further questions.
