Try to perform a stage1 install on an AMD64 box.  The bootstrap quickly fails with:

>> emerge (1 of 77) sys-devel/gcc-3.4.3-r1 to /
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) gcc-3.4.3.tar.bz2
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) gcc-3.4.3-branch-update-20041125.patch.bz2
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) protector-3.4.3-0.tar.gz

!!!    /usr/portage/distfiles/gcc-3.4.3-uclibc-patches-1.0.tar.bz2
!!! Reason: Filesize does not match recorded size

I have deleted the distfiles, re-sync'd, and tried to bootstrap again, same
error.  At least one other person has reported this error on the forums.  This
is a show stopper for me since I am unable to even bootstrap my system.
