Description Dan Doel 2005-06-22 19:32:49 UTC
Hi.

I've been attempting to install koffice 1.4 using the split ebuilds. It
appears that the latest ebuild for koffice-libs contains a faulty patch:
koffice-1.4.0-save.patch. Based on the output of the failure log, it appears
that the file it's trying to patch doesn't exist. I'll attach the log in a
followup.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge koffice-libs

Actual Results:
Failure to patch and subsequently install

Expected Results:
koffice-libs installs

I have koffice-libs-1.4.0 installed correctly, so I expect this was added in
the -r1 update. The 1.4.0 ebuild no longer exists on my system, however, so I
can't check.

Log of patch attempt

This is the output that portage requests I attach to the bug report. As can be
seen, epatch can't seem to find the file
'koffice-1.4.0/lib/kofficecore/koDocument.cc'

Strange, it doesn't give any problem here. Do you have any kde eclass in an
overlay, maybe?
Comment 3 Dan Doel 2005-06-23 12:28:34 UTC
D'oh! That's almost certainly it (I've been fooling with the svn ebuilds). I
keep forgetting that eclasses in overlays frequently screw up the main tree.

I apologize for the wasted time.
Comment 4 Dan Doel 2005-06-23 12:33:02 UTC
That was the problem. Closing the bug.
