What is common lag between commiting and accessibility for syncing?

what is this inotify thing? I haven't seen any articles about it, have any links?

an hour or two at most I think

and sorry for the miss fire, but the vesafb and inotify stuff are being dropped
again.

Actually, I'd love to see inotify in Con's patchset... but maybe it'd be better
to ask him before making gentoo-flavoured ck-sources ;)

He probably won't add it though, for a while now his patchset has remained
pretty focused on just including the schedular work

plans for 2.6.13 listed at kerneltrap.org indicate inotify is going in next
release anyways
