Well, in that case I have to wonder if this package is ready for public consumption. Doesn't it defeat the idea of the whole system if you have to go through these manual steps in order to get the package to build? Maybe you should consider masking it out until it is ready?
Should be fixed in -r1. This was just a case that ibiblio.org cached different files with similar names from samba-2.2.2 already.
