/usr/portage/profiles/default-linux/amd64/2005.0 has an error checker that has a bad link. BAD: http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/base/amd64/2005.0-upgrade-amd64.xml GOOD: http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/base/amd64/howtos/index.xml?part=1&chap=1 Is there any way that you can add a redirect?
I think that fixing this in portage is a more sane solution... CCing amd64.
thanks jakub, fixed

Perhaps but it was the web guys that moved the page and adding a redirect will fix it for everyone immediately as opposed to waiting for them to re-emerge wherever it is going to get fixed. In my opinion both solutions should be employed. Also, if you are in the middle of an upgrade you can't really do anything else until you are finished with the 2004.3 -> 2005.0 upgrade and that check is what forces the error with the bad link and what the page in question details. The issue has come up on the Gentoo-AMD64 mailing list but the correct link has been posted there.
