Description Alessandro Rossini 2005-06-20 06:39:20 UTC
Hi, I've KDE-3.4.1 on ~x86 and starting from KDE-3.4.0 the ICQ plugin of Kopete
has start to lose connection with ICQ servers.
The problem occurs in 2 possible ways: in the first Kopete itself gives an error
message and changes the status of the ICQ connection to offline; in the second
Kopete doesn't give any error message, the connection is apparently up, but when
I try to send a message to someone in my contact list it gives the same error
message and again changes the status of the ICQ connection to offline. In this
last situation often kopete crashes.
I also use the MSN plugin and I've no problem with this.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install kopete-3.4.1
2. Configure an ICQ account
3. Change the status to "Online"
4. Wait
Actual Results:
Kopete loses connection with ICQ severs.

Expected Results:
Kopete work as expected.

This problem is reported at bugs.kde.org:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107023
(there are also other similar bugs)

You may want to report any useful info there (it could be a good idea to
recompile kopete with USE="debug").
