I emerged nx-x11 and nxclient works but nxviewer does not:   
   
nxviewer: symbol lookup error: /usr/NX/lib/libXcompext.so.1: undefined symbol:  
_NXEnableCleanGet  
 
The same problem was reported in http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44028 
however this did not fix it for me.

1. delete all libXcompex.so* under /lib and /usr/lib
2. run revdep-rebuild (makes errors ... is ok)
3. re-emerge nx-x11 and nxviewer

this solve my problem (i'm the owner of the dublicated bug) :-)

Nope, no success: 
 
rm -r /usr/NX/lib/libXcomp* && revdep-rebuild && emerge nx-x11

Hi,

There's a similar problem with nxviewer from nx-x11 1.5.0.  I'll try and get to the bottom of it.

Hi,

This bug is caused by the NX binaries pulling in the real libX11 instead of the custom NX version.

I've prepared new packages in the NX overlay which solve this problem.  Once they've been thoroughly tested, I'll get them into Portage.
