After merging supertux-0.1.2 there was no executable created with the name supertux. I first tested this by using the gnome menu to choose supertux which gave me an error that no program by the name of supertux existed. which supertux which: no supertux in (/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin) emerge info Portage 2.0.51.22-r1 (default-linux/x86/2005.0, gcc-3.4.4, glibc-2.3.5-r0, 2.6.11-gentoo-r11 i686) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.11-gentoo-r11 i686 AMD Athlon(tm) XP 3000+ Gentoo Base System version 1.6.12 distcc 2.18.3 i686-pc-linux-gnu (protocols 1 and 2) (default port 3632) [disabled] ccache version 2.4 [enabled] dev-lang/python: 2.3.4-r1, 2.4.1 sys-apps/sandbox: 1.2.9 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.59-r6 sys-devel/automake: 1.4_p6, 1.5, 1.6.3, 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.9.5 sys-devel/binutils: 2.16.1 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.18 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.11-r1 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86 ~x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CBUILD="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-march=athlon-xp -mtune=athlon-xp -pipe -O3 -fweb -frename-registers -fforce-addr -momit-leaf-frame-pointer -fomit-frame-pointer -ftracer" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/lib/X11/xkb /usr/lib/mozilla/defaults/pref /usr/share/config /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-march=athlon-xp -mtune=athlon-xp -pipe -O3 -fweb -frename-registers -fforce-addr -momit-leaf-frame-pointer -fomit-frame-pointer -ftracer -fvisibility-inlines-hidden" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoclean autoconfig ccache distlocks nostrip sandbox sfperms strict userpriv usersandbox" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://gentoo.ccccom.com http://gentoo.osuosl.org/ http://mirror.datapipe.net/gentoo http://gentoo.seren.com/gentoo" LDFLAGS="-Wl,-O1 -Wl,--enable-new-dtags -Wl,--sort-common -s" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.namerica.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="x86 3dnow X aalib alsa avi cdr cups debug divx4linux dvd dvdr dvdread encode flac foomaticdb gnome gnutls gtk gtk2 imlib java jpeg kde kerberos krb4 mad mikmod mmx mpeg ncurses nls nptl oggvorbis opengl pic png ppds python qt readline scanner sdl slang spell sse ssl truetype usb xml2 xv xvid zlib userland_GNU kernel_linux elibc_glibc" Unset: ASFLAGS, CTARGET, LANG, LC_ALL, LINGUAS Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Check if /usr/games/bin/supertux exists. /usr/games/bin isn't added to your path by default unless you're in the games group.
I am in the games group. Though I'll check if it's in that directory when I get home.
Only after I rebooted was /usr/games/bin in my path. Everything works now. Kinda dumb that I had to reboot though.
You didn't have to. You just needed to log out and log back in.
