As you may or may not know, KDE's web browser Konqueror has recently been endowed with an ad-filtering feature, sharing name and likeness with famed Mozilla extension AdBlock. This feature is currently only available in the development version of KDE, but will most likely be included in the next release of KDE. However, I wanted it NOW, so I backported it from their development version to the latest stable version (3.4.1). I suspect many Gentoo users running Konqueror will be interested in this as well, and that is why I'm filing this "bug". Both "kdelibs" and "kdebase" needs patching, so the backport consists of two patches. You can get them at http://www.klister.net/patches/kdelibs-3.4.1-adblock-20050615.patch http://www.klister.net/patches/kdebase-3.4.1-adblock-20050615.patch I'd love to see this in portage right away, enabled by an "adblock" USE flag or something similar. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
We care for critical/security issues, but don't maintain patchsets. Once because we don't have the ressources and also to provide vanilla KDE. Get it to ship with KDE 3.5.
