I also seem to have issues with other packaged, not detecing the .so files required by them correctly.. skype being one. the .so files do excist, and are pointed to in /etc/ld.so.conf (i have re-run ldconfig). Ideas ??
OK... after a lot of investigating myself... revdep-rebuild does NOT fix the problem.. however it does highlight the broken packages.. manually re-emerge the packages.. job done.. skype, ooo etc all working.
