I get:

wormux: error while loading shared libraries: libSDL_gfx.so.12: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory

on startup. Putting in a symlink "ln -s libSDL_gfx.so.13 libSDL_gfx.so.12" seems
to solve the problem.

You haven't run revdep-rebuild in a while.  That's required maintenance for
Gentoo systems.
