Description Derek Dolney 2005-06-14 18:59:50 UTC
I have app-office/gnumeric-1.4.3 with dep =gnome-extra/libgsf-1.10* and gnome-base/librsvg-2.9.5 with dep >=gnome-extra/libgsf-1.6. These two packages together cause emerge -uaD world commands to perpetually upgrade libgsf to 1.12, and then downgrade to libgsf 1.10 the next time.

Portage 2.0.51.22-r1 (default-linux/x86/2005.0, gcc-3.4.4, glibc-2.3.5-r0, 2.6.11-gentoo-r11 i686)

Bad luck - gnumeric does not work with libgsf-1.12 (Bug 94890). However, you can
put >=gnome-extra/libgsf-1.12 into /etc/portage/package.mask
Comment 2 Derek Dolney 2005-06-15 07:57:30 UTC
I understand that, but I would think portage should then be smart enough NOT to
upgrade to libgsf-1.12 if I have gnumeric.
